Respect people.
Respect consent.
Who may view the 18+ category
The intended adult category is for people 18 or older in jurisdictions where access is lawful and permitted. A site operator may require a third-party age check. Access may be denied in some locations or if location cannot be reliably determined. Never attempt to bypass an access restriction. The General category prohibits nudity, sexually explicit imagery and strongly sexualized images. Photos are checked by an image-screening system before public display; uncertain or unscreened images are held privately for up to 15 minutes and automatically deleted unless reviewed. When local NudeNet, OpenNSFW2 and OpenModerate screening is enabled, these classifiers run on the FRAME. server. OpenModerate screens possible violence, gore, weapons, hate symbols and self-harm; these models may misclassify images. No facial age-estimation model is used: appearance cannot reliably establish age or consent. A separately selected third-party screening provider may also receive uploaded image bytes. Screening cannot prove age, consent, or legality.
Rules for every uploader
- You must own or have permission to share every image. Uploading someone else's private photos without authorization is prohibited.
- No images of minors in sexual contexts, child sexual abuse material, grooming, or sexual exploitation.
- No non-consensual intimate images, covert recordings, sexual deepfakes depicting identifiable people without their consent, threats, harassment, trafficking, coercion, or exploitation.
- No doxxing, personally identifying information without permission, graphic violence, illicit content, or attempts to evade moderation.
- No spam, automated queue flooding, malware, or abusive uploads.
Additional responsibilities for adult uploaders
For adult-category submissions, every person depicted must have been 18 or older when the image was produced and must have knowingly consented to the creation and publication of the image. Uploaders must have distribution rights and supply genuine records of identity, age, and consent under an appropriate verification process. Uploaders must cooperate with lawful takedown and recordkeeping requests. The operator must implement any applicable producer/recordkeeping requirements (including 18 U.S.C. §§ 2257 and 2257A, where relevant) before launch.
Temporary display does not mean private
A photo or album takes one of four slots and remains visible for 30 seconds, starting when it appears. Public access ends after 30 seconds. Normally expired, unreported files are privately encrypted and retained for up to 24 additional hours after display, then automatically deleted along with their decryption keys. Reported and removed uploads are deleted immediately without an admin-viewable archive. Some legally required evidence preservation may override normal deletion, and no technology can guarantee erasure of independently downloaded copies, storage backups, or all SSD remnants. Photos may wait in a temporary queue. Other visitors can download individual photos, entire albums, or take screenshots and retain or redistribute copies that FRAME. cannot delete. No promise of anonymity, confidentiality, or complete erasure is made.
Reporting and moderation
Use the “Report moment” button on the image to report a safety concern immediately. Adult-specific reasons include suspected minors, non-consensual intimate images, coercion, impersonation/deepfakes, privacy violations, and sexual violence. In the prototype, the most serious categories immediately remove the image from public view and flag the incident for admin attention. Other reports can remove a photo after qualifying independent reports. Moderators may remove any upload at any time; ordinary uploads are otherwise automatic. Reports currently retain limited metadata for up to 24 hours. Reported-and-removed images do not remain accessible through the moderation archive. This prototype does not provide a formal evidence-preservation, law-enforcement escalation, or verified identity/consent workflow.
What agreement means
By submitting an image in an eligible future release, you agree to these rules, affirm that you have all necessary rights and consent, and acknowledge that visitors can download or save it. Do not upload material that you would not want retained by others. An agreement alone is insufficient evidence of a person's age or a model's consent.
Optional face censoring in the 18+ demo
18+ contributors may choose blur, pixelation or emoji masking of detected faces. The public wall and public downloads receive only processed copies when masking is selected; administrators can view the uncensored normalized original while it is queued or displayed, and in the private 24-hour archive after normal expiry. The normalized original is not accessible via public links. Automated face detection may miss faces; it cannot guarantee anonymity or establish consent, legal age or identity. Every depicted person's valid consent and applicable verification requirements remain necessary. This is a non-explicit, localhost-only prototype until public safeguards are complete.
Abuse prevention and moderation data
To reduce repeated abusive uploads, FRAME. retains normalized-image SHA-256 fingerprints and approximate visual fingerprints of administrator-banned images until removed by an administrator. Suspected matches may be withheld from public display for private moderator review for up to 15 minutes. Temporary upload restrictions are based on pseudonymous keyed network identifiers (not full identity verification), and moderation action metadata is retained for up to 30 days. The original image bytes are not kept in the ban database. These restrictions may affect users of shared networks and may be appealed when a staffed appeal process is available.
Public chat and direct messages
FRAME. issues each browser a random nine-digit username and a private browser-session cookie, without asking you to create an account. The username may be visible beside your messages and photos. Anyone with access to your browser may access your conversations. Clearing browser cookies loses access to that username and its direct-message inbox. DMs can be read in full by FRAME. administrators and are not end-to-end encrypted. Do not assume confidential communications.
Chat and DMs are strictly text only. Prohibited content includes slurs, threats, harassment, sexual exploitation, sharing personal details or addresses, telephone numbers, emails, links, invitations, or unsolicited contact information. We use automated text filters and rate limits, but these cannot catch every violation. Any visitor may report another person's message. Moderators may inspect all public and private conversations, remove messages, and suspend messaging access. You may block someone from sending you DMs or disable new DMs entirely.
Message content and report records are retained for up to seven days, after which the database automatically cleans them up. The operator may have legal preservation obligations overriding normal deletion. Moderation messages are stored server-side and are not protected with end-to-end encryption. Photo storage and retention rules are separate from chat retention.
Before public launch
FRAME. must publish a current privacy notice, a staffed notice/takedown and emergency-reporting contact, data retention and appeal policies, effective age/identity and consent-verification controls, and a jurisdiction-specific compliance review. No contact or recordkeeper address is published here because none has been provided or configured.
